Aberdeen City Centre Aberdeen's famous 'Granite Mile', Union Street, is the gateway to over 800 shops, restaurants and bars. The city centre features the opulent Marischal College and the colonnaded Art Gallery with its fine collection. Union Street continues west to the cosmopolitan West End, where much of the city's nightlife can be found. To the south, the harbour heaves with boats serving the fishing and oil industries, while north of the centre lies attractive Old Aberdeen, a village neighbourhood presided over by King's College and St Machar Cathedral, and influenced by the large student population. |

Aberdeen Beach Aberdeen Beach and Queens Links is located to the east of the city centre. The beach itself is famous for its golden sand and its long curved length between the harbour and the River Don's mouth. The beach has a popular amusement area along the famous Beach Esplanade where there are restaurants, a cinema and the city's amusement park Codonas. |

His Majestys Theatre Opened in 1906 to the designs of the eminent Victorian architect Frank Matcham, His Majesty's Theatre was probably the first theatre in the world to be built entirely of granite. Placed at the head of Union Terrace Gardens it enjoys one of the most beautiful urban settings in the country. The auditorium, housing some 1,500 patrons, has been heralded as one of the most beautiful of any major touring theatre in the British Isles. |

Marischal College Marischal College is a former university that was founded in the late 16th century, merging with King's College in 1860 to form the University of Aberdeen. It is the second largest granite building in the world and also the tallest building in Aberdeen. |

Aberdeen Exibition & Conference Centre The Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre also known as the AECC, is a large exhibition and conference complex. The complex is home to a Holiday Inn hotel, conference facilities and the 4,800-seat multi-purpose Press & Journal Arena. Pittodrie Stadium Pittodrie Stadium is a football stadium situated in the east end of Aberdeen. It was first used in 1899 and from 1903 has been the home of Aberdeen FC. Since then it has been the location of a number of firsts in the field of stadium design, notably becoming one of the first all-seater stadia in the United Kingdom. It is now one of the largest football stadia in Scotland and has a seating capacity of 22,199. It can also be used for concerts. Away from the playing surface, there are a number of conference and dining facilities located within the stadium and a club shop. |
